Music is a means of reflecting our soul. The optimistic ones amongst us know life follows along a line similar to a sine-curve thus swaying to and fro between joyful heights and melancholic depths. These people are already very close to the TAVERNE DU LAC as this electronically relaxed, handmade and sharp-witted compilation is not based in a sun-irradiated shallow bay but thematically locates itself in the depths and heights of a French mountain lake. This is where all sides to life are mirrored on the water's surface and consequently the range of harder ambient tunes to lounge style bigbeat symbolically stands for a journey from yin to yang portraying the variety of moods music offers.
Designed as an open project by producer and DJ Sandro, LA TAVERNE DU LAC including the first single TURTLE E’S strives to revive and stimulate the German-French relationship adding a new dimension by transforming communication to the level of musical notations.
In a humorous and elevating manner the francophile blend of this Hamburg based production resembles a parallel to the "mountain-to-lake" perspective: in the tavern premises French esprit meets German calm, tricolore self-confidence merges with hanseatic reserve and the occasional colonialist touch in appearance finds its match in the cosmopolitan mentality of a harbour based citizen. Out of these both contradictory and supplementary traits TJ Le Pervert creates a mixture of rhythm and emotions, beats and dreamscapes inviting the listener to lean back comfortably, put on some cool shades and to admire the overwhelming beauty of the mountain lake. And that's exactly why this compilation goes out to those without the appropriate landscape before their eyes, yet who want the pictures and sounds of it to evolve in their minds and ears. It feels nice and warm in the tummy and gives the head a little occupation, too! C'est la vie!
