♥ Nick Hellfort

NICK HELLFORT is a solo-project founded in spring 2007 by Nicolaj Ruhnow known as the singer with IRONY, VOIVITTU & melodic metal legends DOMAIN. Nick: “Within this project I have the possibility to express myself in a more individual manner filled by ALL my personal influences!" And yes, Nick shows all his individuality and flexibility in every single way! With his charismatic and characteristic voice and fitted with an enormous range, he draws everybody’s attention to himself. Combined with electrifying and intensive songs he invites the listener to share his impressions and attitude. On the one hand accusing, dark, crazy and sentimental on the other affecting his statements with an ironic wink. Their first tracks representing the first step into a direction: Heavy Metal with a strong influence of the 70's as well as the early Prog-Rock-Era but without excluding modernism. Spring 2007: Founding NICK HELLFORT, and recruting the first line-up: Nicolaj Ruhnow - vox, Chrstoph Goetz - bass, Jörg Klein - Guitar and Andreas Rethmeier - drums. First couple of demo-songs were written: THE CROSS, CRUSADER and THE MESSENGER. Summer 2007: Bassplayer Christoph Goetz parted away with NICK HELLFORT due some private circumstances, and was replaced by committed producer and sound-engineer of the HIGH GAIN RECORDING STUDIOS, Hamburg in addition tourmanager by successful touring bands just be mention of: AMON AMARTH, NEVERMORE, PRIMAL FEAR and GAMMA RAY.. Summer 2007: Nicolaj is joining DOMAIN and hit the road with 'em in autumn 2007. Early - Summer 2008: NICK HELLFORT moved into a lower priority because of the songwriting an conceptual mainwork for DOMAIN's ninth release:"The Chronicles Of Love, Hate And Sorrow!". Spring 2008: Nicolaj parted away with IRONY. (please read the BLOG "IRONY sad but true" for details) Early 2009: NICK HELLFORT announces a new guitarist: Achim Rauscher a longtime fellow during the IRONY-years! Now, a thiny musical modification within their style is done and will be heard asap,.. Meanwhile Jörg Klein is further a member of NICK HELLFORT. Spring 2009: Due some musical and business differences, Nicolaj decided to search for a replacement on drums, which fit quiet better for the new songs his name is Simon Mengs and his nickname "rolling thunder" says enough! :-) Winter 2009/10: Due some private circumstances of the bandmembers Achim & Jörg the NICK HELLFORT line-up is changing again :( ! After a longtime search the successors were found and everything works bloody brilliant,.. the songwriting-process is finished,.. and the NICK HELLFORT -CD is right now in progress. Hopefully the CD will see the light of day, in 2010!! ... (NICK HELLFORT-Company 2010)!
